How We Work

Getting started with services provided by Congruency

Individual and Group Work

We start by listening.  Very often clients contact us without really knowing what the issue is, only that something is amiss:  productivity is down, morale is suffering, people are restless.  We listen and ask questions.  Only after a lot of that do we work with you to craft a productive response to the matter at hand.

Sometimes we dig a little and uncover simmering conflict--then help you resolve it.  Or, we convene a group dialogue session focused on helping many see things as they really are.  We can also deliver some thoughtful tools and provocative ideas that help learning and growing professionals think deeply and differently about life, work, and success.

Convening a Meeting, Facilitating a Group

We lead dialogue groups.  This isn't just a fancy name for a conversation, but rather a facilitated event using principles for communicating--which we gently and skillfully enforce.  People engaged in our dialogue sessions have referred to them as the best conversation they've ever had--and sometimes about deeply difficult subjects (forced resignations, wars, choosing a president, setting a new organizational direction are a few examples).

 Reflection over time

While we lead workshops and seminars that are "oncers"--a half day or full day--more often the task requires good conversation, reflection, and meeting again.  The format of our work can involve several meetings over weeks or months, sometimes with homework--a big question or two to mull over in the meantime.

Education

Working from the premise that "you have everything you need," we lead workshops but they are different from many.  While we have a tool bag and use it, our educational seminars are not to transfer knowledge from the expert to everyone else.  Rather, we use the seminar format to engage the learner in reflection and wondering, drawing from the knowledge and wisdom our clients bring to the picture.  We have no corner on intelligence, and we look forward to encountering yours:  1-866-aligned (254-4633).

Mediation

Perhaps you're in the middle of a very big problem.  It might already be winding its way through the court system (slowly and expensively, we would guess).  We can conduct a mediation with all parties involved--large groups, if that's the case--and work toward helping the feuding parties craft a solution that works for them.  Mediation is a remarkably productive way to address conflict, and breakthroughs truly happen.  And, they can be legally binding and resolve a court case.  Contact us to discuss this possibility if it suits your dilemma.
